PRIMARY MEMBERS

Christine Perra Rapillo (CT)
Christine Rapillo is Director of Delinquency Defense and Child Protection for the Connecticut Office of Chief Public Defender (OCPD). She oversees delinquency staff and policy affecting Connecticut's 12 juvenile courts and is responsible for the supervision and training of child welfare and family attorneys under contract to OCPD. She practiced in adult felony trial courts in New Haven and New Britain and served as Supervisor of the Hartford Juvenile Court Public Defender's Office for 12 years. Ms. Rapillo is co-chair of the Steering Committee for the Connecticut Juvenile Justice Alliance, where she was active in the efforts to raise Connecticut's jurisdictional age from 16 to 18. She is appointed to the Connecticut Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee and the Connecticut Juvenile Training School Advisory Committee, and she serves on the board of directors for the New England Juvenile Defender Center. She has presented on juvenile justice practice at the National Juvenile Defender Summit, the National Legal Aid and Defender Association Annual Conference, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and many other groups and agencies in Connecticut. Ms. Rapillo graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law and Wheaton College in Norton, MA.
