George W. Timberlake (IL)
Retired Judge George W. Timberlake, who is a member of the Illinois Models for Change Coordinating Council, was recently named Chair of the Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission. Timberlake retired in 2006 as Chief Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit in Southeastern Illinois, where he served as a trial court judge for 23 years. He is Chairman of the Second Circuit Juvenile Justice Council, which administers one of the five Models for Change demonstration sites in Illinois. In addition, he is president of Jefferson Policy Consultants in Mt. Vernon, IL, and is a volunteer member of the boards of the Illinois Balanced and Restorative Justice Project, the Juvenile Justice Initiative, and the Redeploy Illinois Oversight Board.
