ViEve Martin-Kohrs is Director of Resource Development for the Calcasieu Parish Office of Juvenile Justice Services. In addition, she is a social sciences instructor at McNeese State University and a licensed prevention professional for addictive disorders. She is a member of the Federal Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice, as well as the Louisiana Governor's Board on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, where she chairs the Disproportionate Minority Contact Committee. She also serves on the Coalition for Juvenile Justice's Ethnic and Cultural Diversity Committee, Louisiana Families in Need of Services Association, Louisiana Association of Truancy Assessment and Service Centers, the Governor's Initiative to Build a Healthy Louisiana (Calcasieu), the Southwest District Law Enforcement Planning Council, and other community organizations serving youth and families. Ms. Martin-Kohrs holds a master's degree in criminal justice from the University of Alabama.
